Fall is here and the time has come to warm the house (and your tummy) with baked goods! This Amazing Cherry Dump Cake will be a hit with your family and makes a great addition to any gathering!
- 20 oz Crushed Pineapple
- 30 oz Cherry Pie Filling
- 1 Box White or Yellow Cake Mix
- 1/2 Cup (1 stick) Butter
- 1/2 – 1 Cup Sliced Almonds or Chopped Walnuts
- 1/2 – 1 Cup Sweetened Shredded Coconut
In a 9×13 baking dish, dump crushed pineapple (juice and all) into the bottom of the pan and spread evenly.
Next, dump cherry pie filling over the pineapple and spread evenly again.
sprinkle entire content of dry cake mix over the pineapple and cherries. Break up any large clumps.
Sprinkle almonds (or walnuts) over the cake mix.
Next comes the coconut. Sprinkle the cocnut over the top of the almonds.
Cut the stick of butter into thin slices and evenly layer across the top.
Place in pre heated (350 degree) oven and bake for 55 -60 minutes until bubbly and golden in color.
Enjoy hot right out of the oven or eat at room temperature. Either way, your tummy will thank you!
